Batman, big shot, when you gave the order

to grow up, then let me loose to wander

leeward, freely through the wild blue yonder

as you liked to say, or ditched me rather,

in the gutter...well, I turned the corner.

Now I've scotched that 'he was a father

to me' rumour, sacked it, blown the cover

on that 'he was like an elder brother'

story, let the cat out on that caper

with the married woman, how you took to her

downtown on expenses in the motor.

Holy robin-redbreast-nest-egg-shocker!

Holy roll-me-over-in-the-clover,

I'm not playing ball boy any longer

Batman, now i've doffed that off-the-shoulder

Sherwood-Forest-green and scarlet number

for a pair of jeans and crew-neck jumper;

now I'm taller, harder, stronger, older.

Batman, it makes a marvellous picture:

you without a shadow, stewing over

chicken giblets in the pressure cooker,

next to nothing in the walk-in larder,

punching the palm of your hand all winter,

you baby, now I'm the real boy wonder.

聽到這首詩時，
第一個感覺是看見一個臉色充滿不屑、自傲的Robin
雖然他強調著
他再也不在乎Batman對他的看法
甚至譏笑Batman已經
從Super hero變成了一個蹲在廚房裡煮湯的男人
可是
我覺得阿
在他的內心
他依舊
在乎著Batman的看法


這首詩
其實不單單是在說Robin對Batman的失望
而可以延伸到
我們自己
我們小的時候
想必也有自己所崇拜的人
不管是爸爸媽媽哥哥姊姊
或是哪個Hero
有一天
我們或許也會發現到
這些小時候被我們崇拜的人
也不是這樣的完美

甚至
我們應該會有被崇拜的人嫌棄
或是嫌棄崇拜自己的人的經驗吧
就跟這首詩裡面的關係一樣

被看不起的
會有骨氣的想要向那個人證明自己
然後就拼命的努力改變


可愛的Robin阿
在我眼裡
卻依舊是個長不大的孩子
有真的做到不在乎嗎?

我覺得
並沒有

真的不在乎了
也不會再對Batman嗆聲了
